Dame Dame Joan Collins has been announced as The Silver Line's latest ambassador, and will work to raise awareness for the 24 hour helpline charity, founded by Dame Dame Esther Rantzen, which offers information, friendship, and advice to the elderly.

Collins and her husband were honoured at a reception celebrating The Silver Line's fifth anniversary, and the charity later confirmed it was 'thrilled' to welcome her as an ambassador.
